Composition:
1 enteric-coated hard capsule contains 10 mg of omeprazolum.
Indication group:
antiulceric agent, inhibitor of the proton pump

Characteristics:

Loseprazol® 10 mg belongs to the group of drugs reducing formation of acidic gastric juice. Without physician's recommendation, Loseprazol® 10 mg can be taken by patients suffering from often (more than two days a week) symptoms of pyrosis or gastric hyperacidity. The treatment without medical supervision should not exceed 14 days.

Indications:

The preparation is taken to alleviate symptoms of pyrosis or gastric hyperacidity. Without physician's recommendation, Loseprazol® 10 mg can be taken by adults and juveniles older than 15 years.

Contraindications:

Loseprazol® 10 mg must not be taken in case of hypersensitivity to omeprazolum and other components of the preparation. During pregnancy and lactation, the preparation can only be taken with a physician's consent. In case of getting pregnant during the treatment, the attending physician should be informed immediately.

Undesirable effects:

The preparation Loseprazol® 10 mg is usually well tolerated. In the course of treatment, indigestion, such as constipation, diarrhoea, stomach ache, flatulence, sensation of vomiting, allergic skin reactions, head ache, dizziness, may occur.
Occurrence of undesirable effects during the treatment should be reported to the physician or pharmacist.

Interactions:

Resorbence of some preparations taken in treatment of infectious diseases (e.g. ketokonazol, itrakonazol, ampicilin) and vitamin B12 or iron can be reduced in the course of treatment with omeprazolum.
Care should be taken in common taking omeprazolum and some other drugs, e.g. medicines containing carbamazepin, phenytoin, warfarin, diazepam, clarithromycin, cyclosporin, digoxin, ticlopidin, disulphiram or methotrexat. Patients concurrently taking warfarin and omeprazolum should be under regular medical supervision.

Caution:

Patients taking Loseprazol® 10 mg without physician's recommendation should interrupt treatment and seek a physician in case that pyrosis has not improved within 5 days from beginning of treatment or it has even deteriorated.

Dosage:

Recommended dosage: 2 capsules of the preparation Loseprazol® 10 mg in one daily dose, preferably in the morning, fasting. The treatment without medical supervision takes 14 consecutive days. It can be repeated once in 4 months at most.

Package:

14 or 28 capsules, 10 mg each.
