PRO.MED.CS Praha a.s. is a well-established pharmaceutical company which, thanks to its carefully selected portfolio and correct marketing policy, has built up a strong position on the Czech market and is successfully penetrating more and more new foreign markets.
The Czech Republic was the first market where the company set up its business. Today, PRO.MED.CS Praha a.s. is in the list of the top fourteen largest pharmaceutical companies, ranked by number of packets sold. Over the course of time, it has expanded its activities internationally and particularly in the last eight years it has penetrated new markets with a great deal of energy. In the years to come, it is expected that the share of exports will exceed 75% of the company's sales. Its export markets today are almost all Central and Eastern European countries and a number of countries in Central Asia.
The first foreign market that PRO.MED.CS Praha a.s. entered was Russia. This market is also the most important export territory as 64% of exports go there. In addition to our representation we also have a marketing company in Moscow and a trading company with a total of 112 employees. Medical representatives are spread throughout all regions of Russia.
One of important export territories is Slovakia, which accounts about 6% of our exports. Our company is represented there by the company PROM.MEDIC.SK in Poprad.
Another traditional foreign market is Poland. The company is intensively developing trade with the largest wholesale distributors in the country. A team of medical representatives is organised under the marketing company PRO.MED.PL with headquarters in Katowice.
During the 90's PRO.MED.CS Praha a.s. found other markets in Ukraine and the Baltic republics - in Latvia, Lithuania, and also in Estonia. We have independent trading companies working in all these countries. Since the end of 2003 the company has been increasing attention to the Ukrainian market. Our team numbered 24 persons in 2007.
In recent years Kazakhstan has become one of key markets. Continuing sales successes are ensured by our trading company PROM.MEDIC.KAZ, which at present employs 20 people. In 2007 trade with Kazakhstan made 6% of the company's total export putting it in second place. The company also trades with other Central Asian states - Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan and especially Uzbekistan which is turning into an important territory. As well as in these regions PRO.MED.CS Praha a.s. products are gradually making a name for themselves in other countries of the former Soviet Union and also in the Balkan countries - Serbia and Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Croatia and Albania.
Our new objective is to penetrate other European markets.
